The heady aromas of fresh baking and coffee have long been associated with The Real Mary King’s Close. Between the 18th and 19th centuries, the Royal Exchange Coffee House was one of the places to be seen in Edinburgh. Key figures from the Scottish Enlightenment would meet to debate the issues of the day, and sample the relatively new phenomenon of coffee! Meals, snacks and drinks are now available in the spectacular setting of the Burgh Courtroom. All of our goodies are locally sourced, and delicious.
