It all started on a crisp November morning over 40 years ago, when the late AM Chaudhry had a brilliant idea: to make fresh jelabi (crispy batter dipped in hot sugar) on King Street, Southall. After working the grind for long enough, Mr Chaudhry was able to afford a small ex-cobbler shop to set up permanent residence for all his treats and they still operate from the same premises today!
