Jambo! Situated opposite Debdale Park, Kathleen Kwakye-Donkor at the Jollof Cafe is bringing tastes from various regions in Africa to Manchester. The restaurant is relaxed and friendly, with traditional African decorations and music, so your experience of Africa begins at the door. The word Jollof means ‘One Pot’, and refers to some of the cooking styles used in Western Africa, which you can taste at the cafe by trying Koose Nuggets or Goat Light Soup. The menu offers dishes from various different regions, ranging from Cape Coast Fried Fish and Kumasi Chicken, which originate from Ghana, to Nigerian Egusi Soup and Moroccan Chicken.
